ABOUT US

L ocated in Southern Oregon’s wine country, Jacksonville is defined by its beautifully preserved historic buildings. Kubli Haus, built in 1860 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of a handful of stately family homes in town. Named for Swiss immigrant and town pioneer Kaspar Kubli, 305 S. Oregon Street has endured fire, flood and a series of less-than-flattering remodels.

In 2020, current owners Brian and Kathleen Dunn discovered Jacksonville, Oregon. Charmed by the town’s historic character, they made the unexpected decision to relocate. After seven years on and off the market, Kubli Haus seemed to be waiting for them. Brian, a former civil engineer, ditched his level and square to restore the crooked old house from foundation to chimney tops. Kathleen, an accidental innkeeper, designed, decorated, and now manages the property.

Today Kubli Haus operates as a sleek five-suite boutique hotel.
